China Bank Robbers Shoot Dead Three

BEIJING Masked gunmen killed three people and made off with 500,000 yuan ($60,400) in a bank robbery in the southern city of Nanchang, the Beijing Evening News said on Monday.
Chinese police offered a 100,000 yuan reward for information on the four or five young men who stormed into a branch of the Agricultural Bank in the capital of Jiangxi Province on Saturday and opened fire on staff, killing two, the newspaper said.
The robbers escaped with the cash in a taxi, which they later abandoned after shooting dead the driver and stuffing his body in the boot, it said.
In September, Chinese police captured four men suspected of killing or wounding 12 people in a botched bank heist in the southern city of Changde, according to state media.
More than 1,300 officers were dispatched to hunt down the Changde assailants, whom officers linked to a string of sensational armed robberies which have left ordinary people and police in shock.
